Christian Siriano is an American fashion designer and also a member of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America). His prominence came after he won the fourth season of “Project Runway” and became the youngest person to ever win the competition. He launched his namesake collection in 2008 which attained returns of about 5 million dollars by 2012.
He began designing at age 13 as he was working as a hair washer and styling assistant at Bubbles Salon in Annapolis, eventually moving towards styling.

One of his first projects was when he was working as a hair washer and styling assistant at Bubbles Salon in Annapolis and eventually began sewing clothes for the salon’s annual hair shows at age 13. He also worked as a freelance make-up artist as well as making wedding gowns and holding an intern position at Marc Jacobs. He then decided to audition for “Project Runway” after getting the idea from a suggestion from a friend of his mother. Christian advanced to the show’s finals and won a spot to show a twelve-piece final collection at New York Fashion Week. His collection in the competition featured ruffles, feathers, and headwear. Siriano was announced the winner of the show’s fourth season, winning a fashion spread in Elle magazine, a 2008 Saturn Astra, and $100,000 US to start his own label.
He started his own fashion line, Christian Siriano, which debuted at New York Fashion Week on September 13, 2008. He was named one of Crain’s Top 40 Entrepreneurs Under 40 in 2010 and reporting that his line returned revenue amounting to over 1.2 million as of 2010. He opened his first flagship store on Elizabeth Street in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood in September 2012. He also launched his first fragrance in early 2014. He has gained a lot of acquaintanceships with several well-known celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Emily Blunt, Lady Gaga, Maggie Grace, Christina Hendricks, Nicki Minaj, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rihanna, Christina Ricci, Taylor Swift, Solange Knowles, and Shailene Woodley.
